24 hour urgent care: where urgent health care is an option more viable than the emergency room. Do you know where the closest urgent care is? If not, find out and leave the address on the fridge. That information is just as important, if not more so, than the emergency room. If you find yourself as part of a medical emergency, and in need of immediate medical care, your very first option should be your walk in doctor. If your doctor is not an option, then please consider urgent health care. The urgent health care facility is the place to go for immediate care, long before you consider the emergency room.
There are several factors leading to the overcrowding of emergency rooms today. Overcrowding like what the Rand Corporation found from a study in 2010. That year almost one fifth of all emergency room visits could actually have been brought to an urgent health care clinic instead. Had those patients gone to urgent health care instead, $4.4 billion dollars could have been saved in annual health care fees. The typical emergency room visit costs about $1,500, and yet the average urgent health care trip is ten times less, at about $150. Emergency room visits are astronomical right now. Numbering around 110 million per year. And according to a study conducted by the Center for Disease Control, 48 percent of adult emergency room patients who were not ill enough to be admitted to the hospital, confessed to going to the emergency room because their physicians were unavailable due to it being after hours.
And aside from people over reacting to the common cold or a twisted ankle, this is one of the driving factors leading to the flooding of emergency rooms. And therefore, it is leading to the growth of the urgent health care field. Because primary care physicians close at five in the evening, and their case loads are increasing, they are having increasingly harder times scheduling appointments, they are making patients wait longer, and are not being able to dedicate as much time to each patient.
So you see, there are a variety of reasons why you should be considering urgent health care as your first option for immediate medical care. You probably will not be able get a hold of your primary care physician, and the emergency room does not need one more not emergency. So find the closest urgent care, and get it taken care of quickly and professionally. More info like this. More can be found here.

every time i have ever been to an emergency, there is always a huge wait. it sucked. and the doctor always looks miserable and exhausted. i feel bad now, reading this, i did not need to go.
yup. life and limb. always remember that. if your are not going to lose either one of those, you should not be going to the emergency room. do not make the doctors do more work than they already have
