Looking for a good landscaper in the Spokane, Washington area? Me too! Good Spokane landscapers are hard to come by, though. J ust navigating the maze of landscaping terms can be a nightmare in itself. Stamped concrete, hardscapes, pergolas, etc. I just wanted a few bricks laid along my driveway and now I have to deal with this? Landscape design is apparently an intricate art that requires all sorts of practice, because I know I could never do this stuff myself. And when you are looking for somebody to do your landscaping for you, there are certain things you should look for in your landscaping construction company. Here are a few tips to help you out.
Don’t go for any of those novice start up landscaping companies. I know you want to help out the underdog, but it is probably not going to be worth it in the end. You want a good, experienced landscaper to take care of your landscaping needs.
But do not just trust a landscaping company based on their claim of being experienced. No, pick somebody whose work you can check out first hand. Find a local company who has done work in your area before and check it out to see if you like what they are capable of. If you find their landscaping work lacking at another property, then they are probably not worth hiring for yours. An additional bonus of doing some prior recon is that you can gain some ideas for your own landscaping if you see something you like. “Yes, that is some nice wood working at the Jones’s across the street. I think I’ll just borrow that…”
While scoping out your potential landscapers work, make sure to check for references as well. That way you can hear directly from past clients whether they were worth it or not. No need to go in blind.
Finally, make sure that your landscaping technician is licensed and insured. A licensed landscaper will have the knowledge to know what plants will work in your yard, as well as other landscaping knowledge to give you the best value.
An insured landscaper is important so that you do not end up being responsible if anything goes wrong during the job. If your landscaper gets hurt, you do not want to find yourself responsible for finishing the job or covering injury costs.
These tips should help you the next time you are looking for somebody to do some landscaping work. I know I will be using them to find my Spokane landscaper. Maybe you will see my well designed lawn down the street and “borrow” some ideas when you are looking for your own.

Absolutely on point with the insurance tip. You do not want to find yourself with a shoddy landscaping job just because your uninsured landscaper gave you some bad advice.
Hmmmm… the lawn next to me really does look nice. Perhaps I’ll take your advice and find out who did their landscaping. My lawn could certainly use some sprucing up.
